Apr. 21, 2010 – ChemicalAnalysis Expands into Sydney

To better service our valued clients in Sydney, and to offer services to new clients, ChemicalAnalysis has opened an office in Sydney. This is the first stage of our expansion plans into this market, with a dedicated GMP laboratory planned in the near future. To contact us directly in Sydney, call 9844 9841 or click here for more information.

Mar. 10, 2010 – Odour and Taint Analysis

Chemical Analysis has the expertise and experience for the analysis of odors and taints.

Many types of sample matrices have been tested including aqueous solutions, pharmaceutical tablets and sample packaging (food and pharmaceutical). The use of headspace GCMS and SPME-GCMS are extremely powerful tools for this analysis allowing for identification and quantification of odors and taints at very low concentrations. In some cases, the levels detected are in the part per trillion (ppt) range.

Our state-of-the-art Gerstel SMPE and Agilent 5975 GCMS systems are the best available for odor and taint analysis, offering the lowest possible detection limits and automation possible.

Feb. 22, 2010 – Heparin Sodium

CA announces that it has the required instrumentation for the pharmacopoeial characterisation of heparin sodium for the presence of the regulated impurity Oversulfated Chondroitin Sulfate (OSCS). The FDA specifies that the NMR test requires the use of a 500MHz or greater proton resonance frequency. CA operates a Bruker AV500 500MHz high field instrument fitted with an inverse probe for maximum signal sensitivity.

Feb. 2, 2010 – Metals Analysis

ChemicalAnalysis has received and validated its first microwave digestion unit. The Milestone Ethos System (www.milestonesci.com/dig-products.php) enables the complete digestion of more difficult samples where high matrix effects exist. Analysis is then performed on either our Varian ICP or AA Instruments.
